FutureScape Website Goes Live!

FutureScape is the UK’s largest landscaping trade event. It takes place every year at Sandown Park Racecourse and features a variety of exhibitors, as well as a fantastic seminar programme. The event is renowned for bringing the biggest names from all corners of the landscaping and horticulture industry together – and we were delighted to develop their brand new website, which was launched last month!

Having partnered with BALI (the British Association of Landscaping Industries) in October last year, the team at Adtrak were excited to be exhibitors at FutureScape 2016! In our very own ‘Adtrak Zone’ we dished out expert marketing advice to both the visitors and exhibitors in attendance.

However, FutureScape themselves were using a website that was outdated and not particularly functional. In addition, a lot of the imagery on site was of a low quality, the website pages were slow to load and the URL structure was poorly designed. As a result, we had a chat with them and discussed our recommendations for a new website. They were quick to agree to a complete redevelopment – and so we set to work!

Website Development

The FutureScape event, developed in conjunction with Eljays44 and Pro Landscaper Magazine, allows a huge number of companies from within the landscaping, garden design and ground maintenance industries to network. Their website acts as a hub of information both in the lead up to the event and during the event itself. As such, it is really important that it looks great, functions flawlessly and benefits from fantastic usability.

The new website, created by Steve Greig one of our Senior Web Designers, needed to reflect the event’s size, standing and reputation within the landscaping industry. As a result, it was designed and built with a few primary goals in mind. Firstly, it needed to encourage businesses to exhibit and visitors to register for tickets.  It also needed to clearly display all of the event information, including the venue details, seminar timetables and a full, categorised list of exhibitors. All of this makes the website a genuine, valuable resource for attendees.

We also placed a heavy emphasis on making the website incredibly intuitive and user-focused. This meant implementing bespoke functionality to ensure it is as straightforward as possible for the team at FutureScape to update year on year. This required a great deal of foresight and planning and will allow a seamless transition between each yearly event.

The Launch

The finished website went live at the beginning of April and FutureScape are delighted with the finished result. Complemented by well-written, well-researched copy, and a digital marketing strategy that will come into full force in the coming months, we believe the new FutureScape website will help them to reach and engage with the public much more effectively.

This year, Futurescape is taking place on Tuesday 14th November at Sandown Park Racecourse. We will once again be in attendance and are looking forward to meeting visitors and exhibitors alike in the ‘Adtrak Zone’!
